A casual seawatch from the southern dunes just after high tide this morning saw northerly passage of 720 Common Scoters, 190 Wigeon, 170 Teal and an Arctic Skua. A few grounded migrants included 70 Meadow Pipits, Yellow Wagtail, 5 Whinchats, Wheatear, 3 Robins, Goldcrest, 2 Pied Flycatchers, 3 Common Whitethroats, 4 Lesser Whitethroats, Blackcap and 2 Willow Warblers. Singles of Whimbrel, Peregrine and Tawny Owl were also present. |

At Pyes Hall this morning there was a Pied Flycatcher and a Tawny Owl. Geoff. |
