An early Firecrest at Pye's Hall first found by John Nelson was the best bird today. Other grounded migrants between here and Stonebridge and around the realignment area included 40 Meadow Pipits, 2 Whinchats, Wheatear, Common Redstart, 3 Pied Flycatchers, Spotted Flycatcher, Robin, Yellow Wagtail, Garden Warbler, Blackcap, 5 Lesser Whitethroats, 2 Common Whitethroats and 2 Willow Warblers. Other highlights were 9 Greenshanks, Whimbrel, Ruff, 6 Wigeon, 4 Sandwich Terns, Kingfisher, 25 Little Egrets, Peregrine, Merlin, Common Buzzard, Osprey, 9 Tree Sparrows, Tawny Owl and Common Swift.
