Location: Doddington Park, Lincoln
Had a walk down to Pyes Hall from Stonebridge
Extremely quiet with one dunnock, a few starling and magpies on the way down
Heard the firecrest before I actually saw it
It was flittering about in the bushes by the sluice (13:00) for about 15min before I lost track of it
I note that BirdGuides reported it about 15:00. Perhaps the later I passed and told about it reported it. I tried to put it on BirdGuides but all I got was a "connection error"
It was the only bird I saw in that location

Hi Chris again,
I did a visit to Pyes Hall this morning and as you say, it was extremely quiet. All I had was my first Goldcrest of the autumn, a Lesser Whitethroat and 2 Redwing. You'd have thought with a week of near easterlies that more would have been found.
Geoff
