Very few grounded migrants at the south end, hence 3 Whinchats, Lesser Whitethroat, 2 Goldcrests, Yellow Wagtail and a Redstart which was taken by a Sparrowhawk. Also on the dunes and marsh were 2 Common Buzzards, at least 6 Long-tailed Tits, 2 Greenshanks and an early Rock Pipit. Highlights over the sea were 60 Common Scoters, 23 Wigeon, 5 Gannets, 3 Fulmars, Great Skua, Arctic Skua and Red-throated Diver. One Curlew Sandpiper among the few Dunlin and Sanderling onshore. |
