Fewer birds were showing in the bushes at the south end in the strong winds. Best sightings were 3 Sparrowhawks, Common Buzzard, 10 Long-tailed Tits, Chiffchaff, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Water Rail and Lapland Bunting. Passerine immigration from the sea was lighter than yesterday with 30 Skylarks, 20 Meadow Pipits and 6 Chaffinches noted. Between Stonebridge and Pye's Hall, Barry Clarkson reported 2 Swallows, 2 Stonechats, Chiffchaff, 6 Goldcrests, juvenile Hen Harrier, Marsh Harrier, Greenshank, 28 Little Egrets, 200 Teal, 42 Wigeon and 60 Brent Geese. At sea, a Long-tailed Skua and Black-throated Diver flew south, also 70 Kittiwakes, Little Gull, 11 Arctic Skuas, 40 Gannets, 11 Red-throated Divers and a Puffin.
