At least 250 avocets easily viewable from the road adjacent to Read's island at lunchtime today. Also Marsh Harrier, a few dozen Lapwings and hundreds of Pink-footed Geese passing over (heading south-east) in small parties, continuously - for at least 20 minutes.

Last Sunday (5th), we watched numerous flocks of Black-tailed Godwits returning to the roost at high-tide at Pyewipe. At least 200, probably many more.
