Good numbers of wildfowl seen between Stonebridge and Pye's Hall and on the realignment area, hence 490 Brent Geese, 21 Pink-footed Geese, 240 Shelducks, 40 Wigeon, one Pintail, 130 Mallard and 800 Teal. Waders included 800 Golden Plovers, 120 Lapwings, 26 Curlews, 87 Redshanks and 6 Greenshanks. Other highlights were 26 Little Egrets, Redstart, 2 Goldcrests, Chiffchaff, Lesser Redpoll and 3 Swallows.

Walking north from Howdens Pullover car-park I came across a pair of stonechat, a peregrine, 100 redshank, c200 golden plover, c500,dunlin, 350 lapwing and c126 curlew
