Went to pond behind Thornton Abbey this morning (28 Oct) where Great White Egret had been previously seen. No sign only 1 adult Little Egret standing at the edge of pond with 2 juniors in the trees. Kingfisher flew into the hedge while looking at Little Egrets. Could Great White Egret have been roosting among the Little Egrets? 2 Teal on pond with Gadwall, Mute Swans, Tufted Ducks, Little Grebe and Mistle Thrush seen on railings in front of Thornton Abbey and 2 beautiful Jays flew over!
