Yep - the more news the better as my Dad is expressing an interest in seeing the bird!

Hello Derick & Katherine

The news is that the Hoopoe was found at Barton yesterday by Richard Dawkins as he was cycling along the bank of the Humber. Graham Catley relocated it this morning.
After several hours of looking, I eventually got to see the bird this afternoon, it was again on the Humber bank, in the region of the Sailing Pit, but anyone going for it should be aware that it is very elusive, going missing for long periods and when it is in view it flushes easily.
Katherine, unless your dad is a very patient man, I would advise against you trying for this one. It was difficult today on a wet Friday, but will be even worse on a Saturday with more dog walkers, etc.

Roy

Hi Roy.
Thanks for that.
I spent 2 hours looking for it yesterday afternoon, having been told it was reported at Waters Edge.
Obviously looking in the wrong place. :?

Not ideal conditions tomorrow with heavy rain forecast for Linc's but it might keep visitor (flusher) numbers down. :D
