After several uneventful days, it was good to see a few fresh birds as the fog began to clear. 90 Meadow Pipits was a significant count so late in the autumn. 30 Blackbirds, a Ring Ouzel and 20 Robins were recorded, but the only other thrushes were 2 Redwings and 3 Song Thrushes. Also in the dunes were 3 Goldcrests, a Blackcap, 2 Chiffchaffs and a Stonechat. 33 Whooper Swans and 19 Mute Swans were on the coastal fields and 18 Snow Buntings on the shore.
