Post subject:  Unusual road casualty.

I have been informed by Martin Sizer that this morning his son-in-law was driving from South Cockerington into Louth when a car coming towards him near Ticklepenny Lock hit a bird that was flying across the road. The offending car continued, so he stopped and picked it up, but unfortunately it died in his hands. As it was a bird that he didn't recognize, he took it to Martin's home and it was, in fact, a Little Auk. The location is about eight miles from the nearest stretch of tide-line.
