Velvet Scoters - both present and correct this morning (13/12) Similar list to the one submitted by Andy yesterday, with numbers of Tufted increasing to 14 whilst I was present and an additional Little Grebe! Also this morning there was a Buzzard, 4 Gadwall and a Teal. Kingfisher seen again but I seem to dip on the Grey Wagtails every time (the last one I saw at Toft was 11th Jan')! |

The gate will be locked for the winter break tomorrow. It will be open again at the end of January. In the meantime you will have to park at the entrance and walk up the drive. Cheers. Rick |

Gary, The two Grey Wagtails were by the sheep drinking trough near the entrance. |

Did a couple of circuits today with no sign of the Velvet Scoters. There is one male Red Crested Pochard there today which is sadly dragging about five feet of line around with it attached within the bill.. Edit: I should probably add that I am not saying this has happened to the bird at Toft as it has obviously just arrived. |
