Magical light at Frampton this evening and an amazing spectacle when the golden plover, lapwing and wigeon took to the air Had a walk out to Cut End where there must have been in the region of 10,000 golden plover, 64 turnstone, 1000 knot, 300 bar-tailed godwit, one scoter, one red throated diver and a ring tail hen harrier Back on the reserve I saw the male and a female hen harrier, a merlin, a peregrine and marsh harrier all from the sea wall. Some of the golden plover from the river end had been pushed on to the reserve by the incoming tide judging by the numbers. As I said - magical
