22/12/2014 at about 1.30pm 10+ LTT on my feeders great day love to see these guys. However over the last few days we have had a visiting juv. Merlin who does not seem to be very successful at hunting spends a lot time sitting on wires and on the telegraph pole outside my gate. When he goes after a bird he seems to lack the final strike.

Merlin still about along with a pair of Egrets. The Merlin has been around my neighbours who pointed the bird out saying hadn't seen a Thrush as big as that before.

We were worried about the Merlin hadn't seen him about until this afternoon sitting on top of the telegraph pole by my gate. Looks in good fettle.
