Black Brant in field next to Grainthorpe Haven early afternoon before a gunshot or bird scarer flushed the Brent flock and they flew out to the adjacent mudflats. The flock & bird eventually returned before more disturbance saw them move to the 2nd field S of Horseshoe Point where still present @ 15.30.

Also in the Grainthorpe Haven area:
3 Pale-bellied Brents
1 Merlin
1 Stonechat
1 Lapland Bunting

The Black Brant was relocated amongst the dark-bellied Brents on the mudflats at Donna Nook between Stonebridge and Pye's Hall. Although a distinctive and well-marked bird, it was not always easy to find, particularly when the large flocks tended to be flighty both here and over the realignment area. It was still present in the early afternoon. Only one pale-bellied Brent was present. Also of note were 2 Whooper Swans, a Woodcock in from the sea, at least 2 Lapland Buntings, 25 Rock Pipits, 30 Blackbirds, 12 Fieldfares, 6 Redwings and a Peregrine.
42 Whooper Swans were on the fields at the south end.

Also N of Stonebridge were 2 Merlin, Common Buzzard, Kingfisher, 65 Fieldfare and a total of 7 Lapland Bunting

The Black Brant was showing well on the mudflats at Pye's Hall until the Brent Goose flock was flushed by a light aircraft and split into two in the early afternoon. The flock containing the Black Brant flew across to Grainthorpe Haven. One pale-bellied Brent was seen, other highlights being 100 Fieldfares, 16 Rock Pipits, 2 Lapland Buntings and a Merlin. 42 Whooper Swans on the fields at the south end.
