Called in at deeping lakes 930 ish to find the Long eared owl sitting in full view soaking up the sun and with its long ears very obvious. Also 2 White fronts with grey lag flock which I was told had been there since before Christmas ................ and my first kingfisher this year. On to Frampton to find 1000+ pinkfeet in fields between village and reserve. V windy on seawall but a majestic and massive peregrine doing the rounds over the reserve. Elusive water pipit found on the edge of the reservoir and water rail on wetland beneath the hedgerow path. And to think I nearly had a lie in instead!
