Afternoon walk (1.45 - 3.30) on 'Water Rail Way' highlights were:- Goosander 11 Whooper Swan 2 Mute Swan 14 Redshank 1 on muddy edge of lowered water level in river, plus 30+ in flock flying over onto fen. Lapwings 70+ flyover onto fen. Fieldfare 13 Yellowhammer 15 Marsh Harrier 1 Kestrel 1 Flock of 100+ finches on low shrub on west bank of river, believed to be mainly Linnets. Cheers Rob |
