The Black Brant was present between Stonebridge and Pye's Hall and upwards of 940 Brent Geese were seen here and on the realignment area. Reasonable numbers of waders apparent, but more noteworthy were good counts of some passerines such as 70 Skylarks, 95 Reed Buntings, 26 Corn Buntings, 8 Lapland Buntings and ca. 30 Rock Pipits.
