Both the Black Brant and the pale-bellied Brent Goose were present in the Brent Goose flock which totalled ca. 1,200 birds in the NW corner of the realignment area. Generally the usual species around, but of most interest were 2 Common Buzzards, a Greenshank, 150 Skylarks, 40 Rock Pipits, 25 Meadow Pipits, 3 Lapland Buntings, 15 Reed Buntings, 20 Yellowhammers and 30 Twite.
