I have received a report of a Blue-winged Teal on the R Witham at Long Bennington. The reporting of this bird was long delayed after it was seen on 11th Jan. It was with a flock of 30 Mallard and may come to bread. Its provenance is unknown but perhaps some local birders (not far from Marston STW) could have a look and keep us informed of its habits.
