25/02/2015 My first experience of Marsh Tits today, sublime. Highlights from a superb day - Kirkby Moor LWT Heathland full of Skylarks and Meadow Pipits Stonechat 1 (Female) Green Woodpecker 2+ Coal Tit 2 Buzzard 6 Kirkby Gravel Pits LWT Sparrowhawk 1 Oystercatcher 1 Lapwing 10 Little Grebe 4 Great Crested Grebe 2 Goldeneye 3 (1 Drake) Red-crested Pochard 3 (2 Drakes) Egyptian Goose 3 Nocton Fen Whooper Swan c27 Potterhanworth Wood Marsh Tit 3 Coal Tit 2 Goldcrest 2 Andy Sims, Rick Bennett and myself. Also Hartsholme CP Nuthatch 1 Treecreeper 1 Regards, Ben. |

I dropped into Kirkby Gravel Pits today (26.02.2015) and had an impressive count of 197 Gadwall on the pit with the LWT Hide. |
