The day that I have been wishing and hoping for arrived! Little, Barn and Tawny Owl all seen this evening on my local patch, all heard as well with Barn Owl directing a hiss towards me whilst flying close by, stunning. Two barn owls on Nocton Fen - one near the sugar beat factory and one the Nocton side of Neville Wood Wood. A little owl was in its usual barn but it's the first time I have seen one there for a while Another barn owl was seen near Stixwould after a visit to Kirkby on Bain where there must have been about 200 gadwall on the hide pit |
