A Red Kite headed south over Fen Lane, Dunston at 12:33 today. Picked up from the north heading from the Nocton village area it was eventually lost to view, still heading south, over Metheringham Low Fields. It had a missing secondary feather in it's left wing and was untagged.

Other noteworthy sightings from a 3hr walk around the parish this morning included;

Buzzard - 3
Kestrel - 1
Fieldfare - 65
Redwing - 33
Little Egret - 1
Bullfinch - 1

A late sighting from last weekend (1/3) was a rather vocal and mobile Marsh Tit along a hedgerow on the west side of Nocton Wood
