Reported: Serin in Washingborough from Sunday 8th MarchThe Lincolnshire Bird Club was contacted on 14th March by a resident of Washingborough who reported the presence of a serin visiting his garden bird table. I briefly spoke to the recorder on the telephone, who was able to supply a number of photographs of the bird, which appears to be an adult male.
Today (16.03.2015) I visited the house owner to discuss possible access to the bird. The bird is visiting a small garden which is surrounded by other properties with no easy access. Additionally, the bird is an infrequent visitor to the garden, often only appearing briefly and being absent for long periods of time. Having visited the site and spoken at length with the house owner, it has been decided to respect their privacy and that of local residence and keep the site confidential. I hope everyone understands the situation. However, if you wish to discuss this matter, please do not hesitate to contact me directly via my email address,
Full name and address supplied.
Regards Andrew
