Walk in the March sunshine today along Louth canal from Riverhead to Alvingham, highlights were:-

Grey Wagtails 2 On stones at waters edge, 2nd lock down from Riverhead
plus a further Grey wagtail at the 3rd lock downstream.
Here was also a Wren exploring a hole half way up the lock wall, below a grass tussock.

Other highlight sighting were:
Red Kite 1 - over sewage farm
Buzzards 4 - over Keddington area
Kestrel 1 - on tree near River farm
Kingfisher 1 - on canal, near fishing lake
Chiff chaff 1 - heard, near Riverhead

Cheers
