A reduction in the speed of the wind tempted us out to the realignment area at Donna Nook this afternoon.

Nothing unusual sighted, but we were pleased to see circa 150 Twite in two separate flocks.
Good numbers of the usual waders present - mostly Redshank & Dunlin, plus 1 Grey Plover & several Avocet.

Mike Tarrant and Barry Clarkson were also there and had seen 2 Water Pipits.

A walk round the realignment area in the morning brought similar results, the only relevant differences being a White Wagtail with 6 Pied Wagtails, and 95 Brent Geese.

I walked around the realignment yesterday (Friday) late afternoon and early evening and had the following:

1 Water Pipit along the seawall west of Pyes Hall at TA404004, it was in an area of mud in the realignment immediately adjacent to the sea wall with lots of ridges and furrow. I spoke to Barry and he'd had 2 birds one grey and one "blotchy", I saw the grey one.
24 Avocets
3 Barn Owls
25 Pied Wagtails, seemed to be a passage going on
132 Twite in 2 separate flocks
