Popped up to the reservoir area for twenty minutes after work. A male Sparrowhawk was sat on the gate when I arrived. A scan of the reservoir edges produced a couple of Redshank, a pair of Pied Wagtails and a Ruff, whilst a pair of Swallow were flitting about. A pair of Lesser Black-backed Gull were on the reservoir bank. I was about to leave when a Peregrine appeared over the crossbank and hurtled across the grassland, scattering everything.
Headed to Freiston Shore after that, where a single Swallow was present, along with a couple of Chiffchaffs in the hedgerow along to the hide. Watched a Short-eared Owl hunting on the far side of the re-alignment area for ten minutes or so and also had brief views of a Merlin as it dashed across the marsh. Not much on the lagoon beyond the the multitude of Black-headed Gulls; a Little Grebe, a few Oystercatcher and a pair of Herring Gull stood out.
