After 8 days away in Cornwall, including dipping Great Blue Heron on Scilly, I came back anticipating lots of summer migrants on the patch. Very little had moved on and highlights of the last two days were:- 18th 3 Swallows 4 Whitethroats 6 Blackcaps 2 Willow Warblers 1 Reed Warbler 19th 3 Swallows 9 Sand Martins 2 Yellow Wagtails John Hayes reports an early Swift at the mere this morning. |
