I went on an ouzel hunt by bicycle around Woodhall this afternoon, visiting suitable habitat, and drew a blank. However in the horse paddock adjacent to Highall Wood, now planted with trees in tubular guards, a cuckoo was flying from tree guard to tree guard, at times dropping to the ground to feed. |
