As well as the Blue-winged Teal there were some interesting migrants about. Warblers at the south end were 10 Common Whitethroats, one Lesser Whitethroat, one Blackcap, 6 Willow Warblers, 2 Chiffchaffs, one Sedge Warbler and 3 Grasshopper Warblers. Also 2 Yellow Wagtails, one White Wagtail, 16 Swallows, one Ring Ouzel, one Greenshank, one Water Rail and one Common Buzzard. Two thermalling Sparrowhawks departed to the NE and out to sea and a later bird did the same, but left to the SW.
