A Little Bunting was discovered on Tennyson Sands early this morning; from the middle hide (Fenella Hope hide). The bird showed very well atop a Sea Buckthorn bush for about five minutes, less than 20 metres from the hide, and gave several bursts of song as well as a few metallic 'tic tic' notes. It then flew off towards North Hide (where the Subalpine Warbler was in 2013!) and then towards the hedgerow alongside the cycle track where it was lost to view. Presumably the bird is still about. The Little Bunting was also associating with a pair of Reed Buntings.
Also on Tennyson Sands was a Spoonbill and a putative Caspian Gull.
