On 23rd near the sluice of the South Holland Main Drain near Sutton Bridge there was a Mallard with 14 ducklings. A good early brood.
Also a Kingfisher and Common Whitethroat.

13 Mallard ducklings dropped out of the nest off our shed roof this morning,
much to our 2 & half years G G Grandaughter's delight.
All safely released on the Catcherwater drain including mum.
