Highlight of todays visits to the patch was a Barn Owl hunting along the main drain, just west of the mere, at 19:15, only my 3rd record in the last 8 years. Used to be quite regular 25 years ago. Also a Little Egret flew in to the mere and landed in the SE bay. |
