| Post subject: | Bee-eaters near Grantham |
Hi, I had a report from a member of the public of a pair of bee-eaters within a few miles of Grantham just before lunchtime today. He watched them feeding on bees/wasps for about 20 minutes until they flew off towards Grantham. Although not a birder the description (including call) was very convincing and he'd seem them before abroad. The location will have to remain confidential for the time being just in case they come back and are a breeding pair, but it doesn't look like this is the case. John |
