Post subject:  Donna Nook, 12th May.

A trip of 11 Dotterel flew north over the coastal fields at 1235 ahead of an advancing thunderstorm. Also north over the dunes this morning were 45 Swallows, 2 Sand Martins and 7 Common Swifts. Heading north at sea on the rising tide were 10 Gannets, one Fulmar, 2 Arctic Skuas and 2 Sandwich Terns. To the south were 2 Little Terns, 4 Shelducks, 7 Lesser Black-backed Gulls and a Whimbrel. 27 Ringed Plovers were on the shore. The very windy conditions limited observations on the dunes, the best being 2 Wheatears, 3 Yellow Wagtails, a Garden Warbler, 3 Common Buzzards and 24 Little Egrets.
