While watchers wait for the first of the 3 eggs to hatch on St.James, a visiting juvenile peregrine was attacked by a feral pigeon when it landed near the pigeon's nest. For some minutes, the pigeon swooped on the resting pegs, sending feathers flying. The sound of the peregrine complaining vociferously was the first call from any peg in Louth for 12 days.
