Yesterday I visited Wharton Wood near Gainsborough on an outing with The Royal Forestry Society. Amongst some big mature oak trees I could hear a Redstart singing. Unfortunately, I was with a group and couldn't stop to search for it. Also heard a Cuckoo and the usual woodland warblers. Hugh Dorrington |
