3.7.15: I was privileged to attend a LWT guided tour yesterday evening. We were lucky to not only hear at least 3 churring male Nightjars but also to see 2 in flight and on top of a tree and a fence post. Earlier, we saw a Hobby, a Kestrel mobbing a Barn Owl and 3 Red Deer. Also observed by myself in the afternoon: A Marsh Harrier and 6 Large Heath Butterflies. |
