Evening visit, 12 Green Sandpiper still, 4 adult LRP, 4 Snipe, 1 Lapwing chick and a Kingfisher.

This evening new in were 6 Black-tailed Godwit and a Ruff, Green Sandpiper were up to 16.

Today 10 Ruff flew in, 6 of which were still in mainly breeding plumage and looking resplendent in there orange, blacks and whites. An elusive Wood Sandpiper was hiding in the weeds, also seen were 3 Black-tailed Godwit, 10 Green Sandpiper, 3 Snipe and a LRP.

Water levels are now quite high and only a small amount of mud is showing so very few waders were noted today, just 2 Snipe, 1 Common Sandpiper and 5 Green Sandpiper. A drake Pochard was my first of the year.
Also seen this week since Wednesday were:-
8/7, 2 LRP, 20 Lapwing, 1 Snipe, 3 Black-tailed Godwit, 10 Green Sandpiper and 10 Ruff still.
9/7, 33 Lapwing including 1 chick still, 2 Snipe, 1 Common Sandpiper and 10 Green Sandpiper.
10/7, 1 Snipe, 1 Black-tailed Godwit, 1 Common Sandpiper and 12 Green Sandpiper.
11/7, 1 pair and 2 young LRP (finally saw the suspected young), 5 Snipe, 1 Common Sandpiper, 6 Green Sandpiper and a Greenshank.

This evening there was a good selection of waders which included the following,
1 Wood Sandpiper, 16 Green Sandpiper, 2 Ruff, 61 Black-tailed Godwit, 5 Snipe, 1 Dunlin, 1 adult and 2 juvenile LRP.
