Saturday 8th August Having missed the black Stork by minutes we did get a nice tally of birds and butterflies, highlights below;- 1 Wood Sandpiper (Tennysons) 2 Common Sandpipers 1 Spoonbill on Jacksons and 14 on the saltmarsh 2 Common Terns Sandwich terns 8+ Greenshank 2 Whimbrel Lots of Small and Essex Skippers, 2 Common Blue and 2 Speckled Wood Emperor Dragonfly on the mere 1 Ruddy Darter and 10+ Common Darters.
