10 Sandwich Terns, a sub-adult Yellow-legged Gull and 4 Bar-tailed Godwits on the shore at the south end and a juvenile Cuckoo on the dunes. Birds on the flashes included 3 Greenshanks, a Spotted Redshank, 2 Green Sandpipers, a Common Sandpiper and a Little Ringed Plover. Much time was spent scouring the skies for the stork from yesterday, but plenty of thermalling gulls, 4 Common Buzzards and at least 10 Kestrels, instead. |
