The good weather conditions resulted in an excellent showing of raptors in the Stonebridge, Pye's Hall and realignment areas. At least 8 Common Buzzards were seen along with 4 Marsh Harriers, 2 Sparrowhawks, 4 Kestrels, 3 Peregrines and a Merlin.
On the shore, the most notable birds on the WeBS count were 1,850 Dunlin, a Little Stint, 275 Oystercatchers, 91 Curlews, 22 Ringed Plovers, 3 Ruffs, 2 Greenshanks, 120 Sandwich Terns, 26 Common Terns and 3 Mediterranean Gulls.

With Mark Johnson and Chris Heaton.
