Swallows coming in from the sea were heading mainly SW inland at first, but all were going to the NW later in the morning. Ca. 1,150 were counted along with 11 House Martins, 3 Sand Martins and 5 Common Swifts. The realignment area was the quietest I have known it to be, with highlights being restricted to 3 Greenshanks, a Common Sandpiper, 3 Ruffs, 3 Little Stints, ca. 15 Kestrels, 2 Marsh Harriers, 4 Common Buzzards and a Hobby. |
