Post subject:  Donna Nook, 14th September.

Before the onset of the rain, a ringing session by Martin Sizer at the south end resulted in 2 Common Redstarts, 3 Common Whitethroats and a Reed Warbler being ringed. At a very wet Pye's Hall, a Common Redstart and a Whinchat were the only migrants that I could find. The best of the rest were singles of Kingfisher, Merlin and Osprey, the last eating a fish on a sand-bar near the tide-edge.
