It became obvious there was a large hirundine movement taking place during the evening of the 16th Sept with at least 400 house martins and 220 swallows flying between the W and N directions. This was just over the village of Marton with many more likely over a broader front.

Cheers
Brian

Hi Brian

It would be interesting to know if these birds use the Trent as a migration corridor when they hit it.

I was on the Fledborough viaduct around 3 pm on 13th Sept and noticed a party of 25 linnet flying south, followed by a party of 15 siskin flying south apparently following the course of the river. I was only there for 30 mins.
