Andy, That's a remarkable list of birds recorded at a site no more than half an hour's walk or so from Lincoln's High Street. Lincoln residents are very fortunate in having ready access to Boultham Mere, the Swanpool area, Boultham Park, Greetwell Hollow and the Swanholme/Hartsholme complex plus Whisby Nature Reserve, of course, and the nearby series of North Hykeham Pits. Let's hope the city housing planners look elsewhere for finalised development projects. One wonders if another inland English city (apart from 'widespread' London), has such a comprehensive array of recognised nature sites on its doorstep. Freddy |
