7 Siskin on the garden feeders this morning. There have been a couple of birds during the last 2 months but the number has steadily increased during the last week. Winter must be almost here as they don't normally reappear until December.

Dave,
I've just been on the BTO Ringing Blog and it is obvious there has been a very early and very large influx of Siskns in the UK. One of the BTO staff who lives adjacent to Thetford Forest has ringed 611 Siskins in his garden this month including 338 on September 18th!! Hopefully we will see the same sort of numbers.
