A juvenile red-footed falcon was busy depleting the local dragonfly population between 1320 and at least 1600.

Hopefully, one of the three birders who came for it will have better pics than me.

The Red-footed Falcon was again present today, although not sighted until mid-morning.
Favouring the area around Aylmer Avenue, it initially spent a lot of time high in the sky hawking for insects, although later - as the temperature dropped, it spent a while perched on poles and wires.

Does anyone know if this is a different bird to the Willowtree Fen bird?

Graham,

Is this related to its reversed migration strategy?
