I had a spare morning and popped to Donna Nook with Mandy West. We had hoped for a little gem or two but we were not so lucky. I understand there are plenty of Y B warbler around but we were not so lucky. A ruddy shelduck out on the shore is maybe something that is always there I'm not sure but we thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere of the place. Piping waders and groaning grey seal haunted our every step and if I closed my eyes my mind was full of where I was.

A single Yellow-browed Warbler accompanied a party of Great Tits at the south end near the coastguard cottages this morning.
