A walker passing along the sea wall stole this Snow Bunt from me as I was 50m away but he had to stop and ask me what the small bird was with all the white in its wings when it flew: I told him it must be a Snow Bunting and he was well chuffed! It is a fine male but not got round to uploading photos yet.

Was seen well yesterday and found today too in same area. A stonechat this morning too

This morning I first picked it up with a fleeing small group of finches/buntings that rose high from the western side of Chowder. The snow bunting climbed with them but then nose dived down to the Chowder car park bank and began feeding on wind blown sea aster seed.

I watched it at full 60x zoom and didn't want to leave.

Found the bird again on the stretch of river bank that it has frequented over the last 11 days. Mandy West located it earlier and Simon had it yesterday evdennig too.

A goldeneye, 3 black tailed godwit, 4 redwing and 2 jays (yesterday).

The snow bunting was present last night, still feeding at dusk, a peregrine also passed Chowder and I watched it fly north over the River, only inches above the water.

This morning I had a coal tit along the New Pit hedgerow and there was small flocks of redwing around.

Bittern was showing well this weekend on Ness Pit.
